Advanced Pools, Inc. offer pool chore ideas your kids can help with
Do your children help with swimming pool chores? Even if you work with a swimming pool contractor from Advanced Pools, Inc. to keep your pool cleaned, maintained and serviced, there are still chores that need to be done between service visits and many of those chores are ones that your children could help with.
Make all chores, whether indoor or outdoor, seem like fun and your kids will e more likely to do them without grumbling! Say something like, “If we get these chores done then there’s more time for a pool party!” that might help you get everyone involved.
Here are some outdoor chores your children can help with:
- Mowing the lawn
- Weeding the garden
- Sweeping up the grass clippings
- Watering the garden
- Helping wash the cars
- Sweeping spider webs off the porch or pool area
- Helping care for the swimming pool.
Here are some pool-specific chores your children can help with:
- Ask them to pick up pool toys and put them into a receptacle
- Skim the pool.
- Depending on how old your children are, they could certainly help with brushing the pool walls and floor and even running the pool vacuum.
- Cleaning the pool skimmer
- Cleaning the pool tiles
- Empty the pool cleaner debris bags and baskets
- Hosing down the deck
- Keeping a swimming pool log book. This is a great way to keep track of water chemistry levels, how the pool was used before the water was tested, if the water needs to be refilled – when and how much, the pool water temperature and the pool filter pressure.
- Cleaning the deck
The pool and out of pool chores your children do today will lead them down a road toward responsible living when they’re adults!
