Is it time to repair your swimming pool?
Are there advantages to replacement versus repair? Yes and here are a few:
- Concrete. This building material can crack and some cracks can be patched while others require a complete remodel. Cracking of concrete can occur if you’re in an earthquake zone or from temperature fluctuations.
- Fiberglass is considered virtually indestructible. The color may fade because of the sun or pool chemicals.
- Vinyl can rip or tear. Small tears can be repaired, usually without draining the pool. Larger rips or tears may require pool draining or a complete liner replacement.
Other potential repairs
Pool equipment will require repair or replacement at some point. All equipment will wear out from use and also older equipment is more prone to breakdown. Older, outdated equipment isn’t as energy efficient as newer equipment.
How to decide: Repair or replace?
What is the useful life of the equipment you may need to repair or replace? What will the cost of the repair be versus the replacement cost? Also consider the cost of energy efficiency versus repairing the older equipment. We can help you determine the return on investment and let you know the cost of the repair before it’s made.
