Advanced Pools, Inc. contractors in Memphis, Tennessee answer the question, “Is it time to upgrade your swimming pool accessories?”
The beginning of the swim season and at the end of the swim season we field a lot of questions from our customers wondering whether they should upgrade before the season kicks off or about starting a project now that the summer swim season has come and gone.
What are some of the most popular options and accessories that pool owners consider?
Is it time to upgrade your swimming pool accessories?
Diving board, fountain, rock waterfall, sun shelves. These in pool accessories are typically the beginning phase of a pool upgrade. Why? Because you’ve had your pool for a while now and you’re in the market for an addition to make the pool more fun. Whether you have children who are getting older and are asking for a diving board or if you’re looking to upgrade the aesthetics of the pool, these are a few of the accessories that are requested.
Upgraded pool safety covers. These covers keep dirt and debris as well as small children and pets from falling into the water. Using a pool cover also slows the rate of pool water evaporation and cuts back on the amount of chemicals needed to clean the water. Pool safety covers are ideal protection for swimming pool owners.
A salt water chlorinator. Health-conscious pool owners want to swim in water that is bacteria-free, but that is also free of as much chlorine as is typically found in a pool. A salt water chlorinated pool still uses chlorine as the generator turns salt into chlorine. A salt water chlorinator uses granulated salt that is added to the chlorinator cell to keep the pool water clean. Those who swim in water cleaned this way say their skin feels softer to the touch and they like not swimming in a chemical-laden pool.
Swimming pool lights. Night swimming and even day time swimming in the murky deep end of a pool is more enjoyable and safer with the inclusion of LED in-pool lighting. LED lights are most often chosen becuase the bulbs burn close to 10,000 hours and that means a long time between having to change them.
Don’t make a swimming pool renovation project decision based solely on pool trends — make a decision based on your lifestyle, your budget and what you think you will love for decades to come.
